Celebrating 50 years of ministry

In 1971 Arnie Krueger, had a burden and vision to start a Christ centered fellowship for motorsports enthusiasts at the racetrack. From our humble beginnings in Southern California until today, Racers For Christ has now grown into a world wide ministry with over 400, mostly volunteer, staff members serving tens of thousands of individuals each year. Throughout 2021 we will be sharing some of the history of Racers For Christ as well as the vision we have for the next 50 years. Join us as we continue serving the world of motorsports in the name of Jesus Christ, helping meet the spiritual, emotional, and practical needs of people throughout the United States and around the globe. Scroll through the videos below to see some of our history.
Our History
The year 2021 will mark the 50th Anniversary of Racers For Christ.  We have grown considerably since that time.  Today we have approximately 400 staff members (both paid and volunteer) across the United States and around the world. As we prepare to celebrate our “Year of Jubliee,” we have been working on a book to both chronicle the history of Racers For Christ® as well as share some testimonies and Lessons of Faith from people throughout the world of motorsports.  If you are interested in partnering with us to complete this project, please contact Eddie Baugher at (918) 855-4240.  The video on the right is the earliest known footage to exist of the ministry of Racers For Christ in the 1970s.  Enjoy and God Bless.
NHRA Today
The relationship between Racers For Christ and the NHRA is longstanding.  We began hosting chapel services at the NHRA National Events back in the early ’80s.  What began under the leadership of Ken Owen continues today. We have the privilege serve at all of the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series and NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Race Series as well as many of the NHRA Summit Racing Equipment Racing Series, and NHRA Jr. Drag Racing League.  The video above is from a 1992 segment of NHRA Today.  It was hosted by legendary NHRA announcer Dave McClelland.  Dave also served on the board of directors for Racers For Christ for many years. A special thanks to the NHRA for allowing us to use this footage.
Race Church
The clip above is taken from a video that RFC produced in the ’90s, it was called Race Church.  Ken Owen served Racers For Christ for well over 30 years and served as the President for 30 years.  What a great opportunity to serve our NHRA family and take the church to the track.
