I became a volunteer chaplain with Racers For Christ in 2004 and began the offroad ministry segment the following year, covering professional off-road competitions in rocksports. Desert racing was added in 2007 and short-course off-road events became part of our season calendar in 2008. Leading the dirt sports portion of RFC developed into full-time service as the Southwest regional director in 2009 and, in 2012, I transitioned to the position of RFC’s Dirt Sports Ministry director.
My chaplain duties have taken me to thousands of motorsport events in the past 18 years —desert racing, short-course off-road, rockcrawling, sand drags, motorcycle, and drag racing. I love it all!
As a missionary chaplain (like our regional directors, I raise my own support) to the dirt sports community through Racers For Christ, I’m blessed to attend hundreds of events and display the love of Jesus to thousands of people because of generous donations to this segment of RFC’s ministry. The generosity of our supporters enables me to bless others by spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ to the teams and fans of dirt sports racing.
I married my wife Danielle in November 2009 and a year later we started our family with identicaltwin boys, Elijah & Isaiah. Toward the end of the racing season in 2011, our son Jeremiahwas born to complete #teamHANSON. Today, our family resides in Mission Viejo, California.
