NHRA Mission Foods National Series
While our chaplains can be found at drag racing events sponsored by many sanctioning bodies, Racers For Christ has been privileged to minister to the racing enthusiasts of the NHRA since 1984. Our chaplains can be found at all levels of NHRA drag racing – Summit Series, Lucas Oil Series, and the Mission Foods National Series.
Our services extend beyond the competitors to include their crews and family members, the track staff, the fans, and the members of the NHRA sanctioning body.
Some of the ways we serve:
Praying with others
Opening ceremony invocation
Hospital visits
Weddings
Funerals
ChaplainS Eddie and Kelly Baugher
RACERS FOR CHRIST EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR AND NHRA MISSION FOODS National Series Chaplains
After attending Ozark Christian College in Joplin, Missouri, on a music scholarship and later studying online at Summit Bible College, Eddie was ordained as a minister in 2009 through Life Park Christian Fellowship in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and later ordained by Racers For Christ. He began serving as a volunteer chaplain with RFC shortly thereafter and ultimately was joined by his wife Kelly.
For six years, the Baughers served the Lucas Oil Arizona Regional Off-Road Series. They also ministered at boat races, circle-track races, quarter midget races, car shows, and at every level of NHRA drag racing. At the conclusion of the 2022 race season, they moved from Arizona to the Indianapolis area.
“We both love connecting with the racers and becoming a part of their lives,” Eddie says, “as well as with the crew members, families, staff, and fans who are all part of the NHRA family.”
