Since 1984 we have been serving the men and women of the NHRA.  Our chaplains can be found serving at all levels of NHRA drag racing – Summit Series, Lucas Oil Series, and the Mello Yello Series.  Many of our volunteers even serve as track chaplains at NHRA member tracks across the country.

We not only serve the men and women that compete, we also are there for the crew members, staff, family members, and even the fans as well as the NHRA sanctioning body.

Some of the ways we serve are the following:

Praying with others

Opening ceremony invocation

Hospital visits

ChaplainS Eddie and Kelly Baugher

NHRA Camping World National Series Chaplains

After attending Ozark Christian College in Joplin, Missouri on a music scholarship and later studying on-line at Summit Bible College, Eddie was ordained as a minister through Life Park Christian Fellowship in Tulsa in 2009. He began serving as a volunteer Chaplain with RFC shortly thereafter and ultimately was joined by his wife.

For six years, the Baughers served as Chaplains in the Lucas Oil Arizona Regional Off-Road Series. They also ministered at boat races, circle track races, quarter midget races, car shows and at every level of NHRA drag racing. Eddie also serves as the Executive Director of Racers for Christ.

“We are both very excited with the prospect of serving in this new capacity,” Eddie said, “helping meet the spiritual, emotional and practical needs of the staff, racers, crew members and families as well as the fans who are all part of the NHRA family.”
