2 Corinthians 5:17 – July 3, 2020

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

Thought:

Christians are brand-new people on the inside.  The Holy Spirit gives us new life, and we are not the same anymore.  We are not reformed, rehabilitated or reeducated…we are re-created.  At conversion we do not merely turn over a new leaf; we begin a new life.  Not only are we changed from within, we have a new body, a new perspective and a new covenant.  We need to understand that this is not a superficial change, it is a change that truly changes every part of who you are.  The new you in Christ removes the stains of the world and covers you with the sacrificial blood of Jesus.

Does your life reflect this new perspective?  Do others recognize the new you?

Lord, thank You for the freedom that is found in You.  Help me to live a life that is honoring of You, realizing daily the sacrifice You made not only for me, but for all creation. May the life I live, lead others to a new life that is found ONLY in You.   In Jesus Name…Amen
