Hugh and Jill Goodale
Beginning on January 1, 2019, Hugh and Jill Goodale of Jefferson, OH started their new journey as the North Central (Region 3) Directors. Married for 31 years, Hugh and Jill have four adult children, two girls and two boys. They have been blessed with eight wonderful grandchildren. Hugh has been a chaplain for Team RFC® since 2004 and Jill joined him in 2005. Together they have ministered as chaplains in a few different venues. For a couple of years, they were mentored by Team RFC® Chaplains Steve and Sharon Dunn at National Trials Raceway in Hebron, OH. That set the tone for their passion for the motorsports community.
For a short period in 2006-2007, they moved to Arizona and served as track chaplains at West Valley Speedway in Surprise, AZ. When they moved back to Ohio in late 2007, Glenn Kreider (North Central Region Director at the time) informed them of the need for a track chaplain at Summit Motorsports Park (SMP) in Norwalk, OH. With Glenn’s encouragement and much prayer, they agreed to spend some time at SMP the second half of the 2007 season. They met with the owner and president of the track, Bill Bader Jr., over the winter. They were blessed to spend ten seasons as the weekly track chaplains at SMP and continued to serve on a limited basis the last couple of years.
The Goodales say, “The SMP family, which includes the Baders, the employees, sponsors and all the racers, have become very close to our hearts. We have a lot of great memories as God has used us to minister at SMP over the years. Thank you to all the chaplains and church friends who have helped us build the ministry.”
Please pray for Hugh and Jill as they lead the volunteer staff within their region. Pray that God continues bless their ministry and give them guidance and strength along the way.
