Our mission is to train, equip, and send chaplains to serve the spiritual, emotional, and practical needs of people in the world of motorsports.

Our Chaplains

Presently, we have nearly 400, mostly volunteer, staff members from the United States, Canada and Australia. Some of our chaplains are ordained ministers, but the vast majority are not. We are looking for men and women of faith who have a heart for God and a desire to help people by serving the Spiritual, Emotional, and Practical needs of those within the world of motorsports.

What Does a Chaplain Do?

All of our chaplains participate in the following activities:

Pray with racers, fans and track staff.

Give invocations

Build relationships

N

Lend a helping hand

N

Support Families in crisis

N

Make hospital visits and sick calls

N

Share the Gospel of Jesus Christ

Celebrate spiritual victories

N

Host Team RFC info booth

In addition to these activities, some of our chaplains also have the opportunity to: host Chapel services or Bible studies, use musical talents, baptize believers, officiate weddings (must be ordained), officiate funerals and memorial services, participate in speaking engagements to promote Team RFC, serve at a Team RFC kids program and much more.

 

Requirements to Become a Chaplain

Be a committed Christian called to serve God in the world of motorsports.
Be a serving member of a local church
Agree with our Statement of Faith and Marriage and Sexuality Policy
Complete the Team RFC® Basic Chaplain Training Program
Pass a background check
Serve three or more times annually
Submit a photograph of yourself (similar to a passport photo)
Submit Volunteer Chaplain Staff Application along with $100 processing fee*
*Processing fee includes: background check, training, first 2 staff shirts, “Work of the Chaplain” book, and chaplain badge.
